  3.                        The Plusses of HyperTEX+
  4.  
  5.         If you order HyperTEX+ you can enjoy all the benefits of HyperTEX
  6.         and more!  Here are some HyperTEX PLUSSES:

  8.         Plus 1          HyperTEX+ documents are smaller!
  9.  
  10.                         Hyperdocuments created with HyperTEX+ are smaller
  11.                         than hyperdocuments created with HyperTEX.  A LOT
  12.                         SMALLER!  For example, when you convert an ASCII
  13.                         file which is, say 100K in size using HyperTEX
  14.                         you will end up with a hyperdocument file which
  15.                         is nearly 300K in size.  Not so with HyperTEX+.
  16.                         The size of the hyperdocument is virtually the
  17.                         SAME size as the origninal.  In fact it might
  18.                         even be SMALLER, because HyperTEX+ strips out all
  19.                         control characters from an ASCII file during the
  20.                         conversion process.  If you value your disk space
  21.                         HyperTEX+ is what you need!

  23.         Plus 2          More and more versatile link types!
  24.  
  25.                         With HyperTEX, you have basically three types
  26.                         of links available to you: Text, Program and
  27.                         Document.  These are available with HyperTEX+
  28.                         too, but there's more.  For example, with
  29.                         HyperTEX+, you not only can link to a document,
  30.                         but you can specify which frame in the document
  31.                         you want to link to.  This gives you much more
  32.                         powerful hypertext access between documents.
  33.                         AND, you can also create links to ordinary text
  34.                         files.  That way, if you have certain text
  35.                         files which you want to be able to view from
  36.                         within a document, but you don't want the file
  37.                         to be a hyperdocument, with hyperlinks, you
  38.                         can include it as part of your system.

  40.         Plus 3          The HyperTEX+ Reader program is BETTER!

  42.                     *   HTREAD.EXE, the program which allows you to
  43.                         read a hyperdocument you create, has much more
  44.                         to offer with HyperTEX+.

  46.                         The Read History function is somewhat 'automatic'
  47.                         with HyperTEX+.  When you traverse links within
  48.                         a hyperdocument, the reader keeps track of those
  49.                         links, as with HyperTEX.  The plus is that if
  50.                         you want to go back to a previous link in the
  51.                         chain, just press the 'p' key.  To go forward
  52.                         to the next link, press the 'n' key.  This feature
  53.                         is sometimes more convenient than using the
  54.                         Read History function, which allows you to
  55.                         pick links from a list.  The HyperTEX+ reader
  56.                         automatically selects a link!

  58.                         Furthermore, with HyperTEX+, HTREAD marks the
  59.                         first frame from which a hyperlink is accessed
  60.                         as the ROOT frame, so that the chain is complete.

  62.                     *   HTREAD is menu driven!  Yes, if you want to make
  63.                         use of the functions available in the reader
  64.                         program, you can call up a menu system by
  65.                         pressing ALT-M.  All the basic functions of the
  66.                         reader are accessible from the menu, such as
  67.                         searching, accessing the index, and configuring
  68.                         the foreground and background colours.

  70.                     *   More configuration power!

  72.                         You can configure more than just colours with
  73.                         the HyperTEX+ reader.  You have control over what
  74.                         the message on the top line of the reader program
  75.                         says with the HyperTEX+ reader   By default, the
  76.                         message says 'HyperTEX+ Reader', but by using the
  77.                         program SETCFG.EXE, you can have it say whatever
  78.                         you like!  This might be as simple a matter as
  79.                         including the information about the availability
  80.                         of the menuing system and online help for use with
  81.                         the reader, with a message such as:

  83.                                   'F1 = HELP  ALT-M = Menu'
